‘Write me, call me’ is a subtle intervention playing with the ubiquitous yet abandoned infrastructure of telephone booths and mailboxes. Essential points of connection for the islands, these spaces have been rendered pointless by modern-day individual technology. The installation combines drawings, stories, and objects to reflect on the shift in communication practices. With a little help from passers-by, the artists try to imagine an alternative future for these infrastructures, playing on their collective nature and the possibility of reimagining spaces of connection in a rapidly changing world.
