2020 Digital Printing, Stone Rubbing

Mapping the Unseen begins with the historical narratives and old photographs of the civil servant cooperative societies in the Kowloon City district. Through collecting and documenting fragments of residents' daily lives, conducting street interviews, and on-site investigations, the project unfolds through creative explorations. It focuses on the civil servant cooperative societies along Maidstone Road in To Kwa Wan, employing diverse mediums such as photography, zines, and stone rubbing to capture the stories of the area and the traces of its streets.

Unlike newly developed towns, Maidstone Road retains its unique scenery and rich human stories. This project seeks to preserve the memory of this land through visual and material documentation.
